Sarah Carmichael

Sarah Carmichael is a passionate advocate for her clients, whether she is representing them in a criminal matter, family law issue, or through the probate process. She strives to listen attentively to each client with the understanding that each case is unique to each person.

Ms. Carmichael grew up in Atlanta, Georgia, and attended the University of Texas at Austin, where she earned her bachelor's degree and master's degree in violin performance. After a full career as a violin performer and teacher, Ms. Carmichael made the decision to follow another lifelong dream to become a lawyer.

During her time in law school at the University of North Texas at Dallas, Ms. Carmichael took part in the Joyce Ann Brown Innocence Clinic, under the direction of attorney Cheryl Wattley. The experience of seeing firsthand how easily people can be wrongly convicted forever changed Ms. Carmichael's outlook on the criminal justice system. Ms. Carmichael fights for her clients and tries to achieve the most just results, even when a client is guilty of an offense.

Ms. Carmichael is proud to be part of the team at Jessica McDonald & Associates, where her practice is made up not only of criminal law cases, including juvenile defense, but also mental health commitments, guardianships, probate, wills, and family law as well.
